Earth Stories Project
Friday the 13th of September, 1996
on the Big Island of Hawai'i
Happy New Year (Rosh Hashanah)
Welcome. For this Friday the 13th net gathering, we've asked a few friends,
old and new, to share stories of their most awesome moments in nature.
This is a live collaborative event, beginning at 7 pm Hawaii time, 10 pm San Francisco time.
So gather round this url, stay tuned for a few hours, and watch the earth story evolve...
Send us your tales of rivers, rocks, raptors, and wild mushrooms via email tonite.
We'll post them as they come in as fast as we can...
This is an ongoing project, so please be inspired and send us your words and images.
Children's stories are especially welcomed. And if you find any favorite
stories on the net, let us know where they are and we'll link to them.
Better yet, make your own multiple media site,
and we'll link to you.
AND DON'T FORGET TO HIT RELOAD ON THIS URL FREQUENTLY. WE ARE LIVE.
AND ALL YOU FRIENDS, CHECK YOUR EMAIL--YES, HAVE EUDORA OR WHATEVER OPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY,
and we'll get the dialogue going. OK, it's not CUSEEME, but it works. Try it.
Let the storytelling begin.

And now, for Claudia's favorite earth story from the web...this one is deep.
It will take you many times to explore. Bookmark it. Here are two links into the site:

But ask now the beasts,
and they shall teach thee,
and the fowls of the air,
and they shall tell thee:
Or speak to the earth,
and the earth shall teach thee:
And the fishes of the sea
shall declare unto thee.
